Mumbai: Bollywood actress and dancer Malaika Arora's father committed suicide by jumping from the roof of the building.
According to Indian media, Malaika Arora's father, Anil Arora, committed suicide by jumping from the roof of his residence in Bandra, Mumbai, on the morning of September 11.
The police reached the spot and surrounded the building while the authorities are yet to ascertain the possible reasons behind the suicide.
According to officials, when Malaika Arora's father took the extreme step, the actress was not present at home.
After getting the news of suicide, other family members of Malaika Arora and ex-husband Arbaaz Khan reached her father's residence while the actress has also reached her father's house from Pune.
It should be noted that Malaika Arora's father belonged to Punjab while he had worked in the Indian Merchant Navy.
Malaika Arora was only 11 years old when her parents separated.
